Luxury Vehicles With the Best Resale Value
You probably have some money to spend if you're looking at luxury automobiles, but that doesn't mean you want to waste it. Depreciation is, by far, the most expensive cost you'll incur in the first five years of ownership, and as such, it must be a factor in your decision. Want to avoid these high costs? Here are the luxury vehicles with the best resale value .
Audi RS5 Sportback
As with the E-Class sedan, the least depreciating variant of Audi's A5 Sportback is the best to drive. That's the RS5 in this scenario. After five years, the performance variant with its 450-hp twin-turbo V-6 retains 46.4 percent of your initial investment, versus 42.5 percent for the ordinary A5 Sportback. When we brought one to our test track, we were blown away by the RS5 Sportback. The Audi's adjustable dampers, rear differential, and all-wheel-drive system make for a vehicle that's as capable as it is entertaining, accelerating to 60 mph in just 3.6 seconds. That's not bad for a relatively safe bet.
Audi S6
If you want an Audi that is a bit larger, you can go for the mid-level sporty edition of the Audi A6, the S6, without sacrificing much in terms of resale value. The S6 is expected to retain 46.6 percent of its initial value after five years, according to our IntelliChoice friends. After driving the S6, we got the idea that it's an underappreciated and undervalued alternative among high-performance luxury sedans. The cabin is lavishly outfitted and styled in a modest yet attractive manner. If you drive at the limit, you'll notice some understeer, but the 2.9-liter twin-turbo V-6 (the same engine that powers the aforementioned RS5) skillfully covers the S6's weight, and the transmission is snappy.
BMW M235i Gran Coupe
Do you want to guess which BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe model made our list? Surprise—it's the quick one! After five years of ownership, the 301-horsepower M235i is expected to retain 48.0 percent of its initial value. There are, however, greater possibilities than this scrawny little oddity. The 2 Series Gran Coupe is constructed on a FWD-based crossover architecture, which shows in the driving experience. It's swift enough, but it's missing in involvement. Furthermore, the back doors are difficult to open and close, the trunk is small, and outward vision is poor. If you are planning on selling your BMW online , reach out to Nahas Motorcars LLC today!
